Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal data Greecyz collects, why, and what rights you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Last updated: 10 October 2026

Our privacy principles

  • Only what we need.

We collect very little: the messages you send us and basic technical data.

  • No surprises.

We tell you what we collect, why, and how long we keep it, in plain language.

  • Your choice.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time.

Who we are

Greecyz (greecyz.com) is operated from Cyprus by Vasilis Athanasiou, who is responsible for your personal data on this site. For any privacy question or request, write to welcome@greecyz.com.

What we collect, and why

  • Messages you send us. If you write to us by email or through a contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply to you. We keep them for up to 12 months after our last contact, unless the law requires otherwise.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use your email address to send you updates, based on your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
  • Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server data, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use it to keep the site secure and running.

Cookies and fonts

Analytics. We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are read and which countries visitors come from. It is designed to work without cookies and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.

The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. This means your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address so we can send you one email a month. We use a double opt-in: you will receive a confirmation email and are only added to the list after you confirm. Your email address is stored and the emails are sent through MailerLite, our email service provider, which processes this data on our behalf. We keep your address until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email, and you can ask us to access or delete your data by writing to welcome@greecyz.com. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone else.

Service providers

We do not sell your personal data. We rely on a few providers to run the site: our hosting provider (Hostinger), Google (fonts), Umami (website analytics), and our email service provider (MailerLite) for the newsletter. They process data only to provide their service.

International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the transfer relies on legal safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or send it to you in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to welcome@greecyz.com and we will reply as soon as we can.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Cyprus, this is the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (dataprotection.gov.cy). You may also contact the authority in your own country.

Security and children

We take reasonable steps to protect the data we hold. The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site grows. The date at the top shows the latest version.
